Christian is 2 months old!

Well, one month later and little Man has changed so much and has gotten us to fall even more in love with him --if that's even possible!! He's changing daily it seems and is growing like a weed! His 2 month checkup was this week and he weighs 13lbs 7oz and is 23 3/4" long! I definitely wasn't concerned about his eating-- it's obvious he's okay in that department!  He also got his vaccinations and took the 3 shots they gave him like a champ--just a few tears were shed! 

- he has really good control over his head and still likes tummy time! He hasn't rolled over yet from his stomach to back, but we are working on it!

- he loves smiling-it's his favorite , along with "talking" and giggling at mommy and daddy's silly faces!

This picture warms my heart!!  

He loves eating so much that when daddy gives him a bottle, he holds onto it! Almost like he's saying "hey! This bottle isn't goin anywhere!" 

Christian loves music!! He loves listening to it on his play mat, on his sound machine in his room , and in the car! We took him to Mallow Run to listen to a Beatles Trubute band and he was great!! Mamaw of course had to dance with the little guy to her fave band along with his Great Aunt Jeanne! 

We just recently started putting him to bed in his crib and his first night was great ! He's starting to sleep through the night - which is ahhmazing!!!! He loves his snuggle buddy elephant that lights up the Ceiling with stars and his sound machine that plays lullabies! Josh and I loved using our video monitor . This thing is awesome. I love being able to see him whenever I want !

How many of you thought this picture was of Christian ?? Nope, that's me! Do you see a resemblance ?? It's fine , I won't tell josh ;) we actually can't believe how alike both josh and I looked as babies! I think Christian is a good mixture! 

Our friends Danielle and Alex Perry welcomed little Grace Joan into the world on September 19th! Christian can't wait to play with her! DAnielle and I can't wait to have play dates!:) she is adorable !!

Christian is 1 Month Old!

It's  so hard to believe that our little man is 1 month old already! I can't get over how much he has already changed within these past 4 weeks. I wanted to share our little 1 month photoshoot. Don't mind my self-made stickers...I bought a kit with all the months and somehow seemed to throw away half of the months! So months 1-6 are homemade :).

Things are good at the Clancy's ! Healthy boy, who likes to eat and sleep , and is already showing us that he's pretty darn happy ! What else could we ask for ?

Hello, my name is Christian!

Hi there. Some of you have had the privilege of meeting me in person , some of you have not ( maybe sometime soon though  ,k?) I had heard that my mommy had been writing all about me when I was in her belly (which was so comfy by the way!) some of my baby friends told me they had written on their mommy's blog , so I thought I may as well give it a try! I'll have to hurry because she thinks I'm napping in my bassinet (silly Mommy). 

So I see the last time she wrote I wasn't even born yet! I guess she was a little too busy to write... I mean she went to the hospital a few times before they kept her and it was time for me to come out! My   Mom was having these sharp pains that I guess tell her it's time to get the show on the road... But when she went to the hospital, those silly hospital people didn't keep her even though she hurt really bad...how rude! They said she wasn't "dilated" enough. I heard  them say he was 3cm. that sounded like enough to me!I heard everything and wish I could have told them to keep my mommy because I was ready to come out!

Anyways, they sent her home and guess what she was back a few hours after because those bad hurting pains didn't stop! But I threw a party in her belly when I felt the nurse touch my head and say she was dilated to 5cm and that I was about to come meet these voices I had been hearing!! 

Mommy's labor lasted 16 hours and I felt so much better for her her once she got this long needle up her back to keep her from hurting. She and my Daddy got to take naps! I like those too! 

When it was show time, she started to push. I could hear my daddy , Mamaw, and nurses cheering her on. They said she was a determined woman...I think that's pretty cool. She pushed for 2 hours until I finally got to see everyone! I came out with my eyes wide opened and the first person I saw was my daddy! Hes one good lookin' dude! Here's a picture my daddy took...I look pretty good , right? 

I was born on July 25th at 6:24pm . I weighed 8 lb and was 21in. long. My daddy says I am tall enough to grow up and be good at this thing called football. I think that sounds fun. 

Lets fast forward to when I came home with mommy and daddy. I like my home. There's even a room just for me! Mommy says I get to stay in there when I'm a little bigger. For now, I sleep in a room with them . My silly daddy likes to peek in my bassinet a lot during the night and put his hand on my chest. Maybe I should tell him to chill out , but I know that he just really likes me. 

There's this furry thing that lives with us. it looks like some of the stuffed animals in my big room , except this one barks and plays with my mommy and daddy. I can't wait until I'm big enough to play with it! It likes to sniff me and watch me sleep. It sometimes sleeps next to me too!

I think we will be good friends. 

I'm already 1 month old this week! This month has flown by. I'm happy my mom is with me during the day, but I miss my daddy too. He works but comes home to see me on his lunch breaks everyday... I guess to him I'm kinda a big deal. I guess when I close my eyes at nighttime  and feel tired that I do it long enough for my mommy to get lots of rest! When I let her rest lots she says I rock! I better keep this up!

My mommy and daddy like to lay me in this bouncing thing. Sometimes it's cool, but sometimes I just wanna try and roll out when they aren't looking. Mom started strapping me in ...no fun!

My parents say I'm showing more emotion each and every day... I guess that's what these weird faces mean! 

I think I hear my mom coming I better get off! I'm sure she will be glad once she sees I was just helping her out by catching everyone up with the Clancy's ! I like that name.

Almost there!!

We had our 39 week appointment today.  I am still 2cm dilated and 60% effaced . I was definitely hoping I had progressed throughout the week ,but its all good! We talked with our doctor about how our original due date was July 16 th and if she thinks we will go before our due date now, the 24th. She said there's always a chance I could but its up to the baby! We scheduled to be induced Friday, July 26th if I haven't gone already. It's good to know that we can see the end now! BUT until then, we will be hoping and praying that Christian makes his debut before then! 

Short and to the point this week...I'm worn out! This heat definitely doesn't help either! Now onto figuring out what to do for the next week to keep myself busy ! Can't believe I'm saying this but I'd rather be working right now just to keep my mind off of things! Haha

38 weeks !

Well, 2 weeks to go! I'm praying it will be a little less than that considering my original due date was July 16th! At our last ultrasound ( about 2 months ago) we were told he was measuring a week ahead ! The ultrasound lady told us " looks like he's due around the 18th"... Sooo hopin' that lady is right because that sounds good to me! 

We had our 38 week appointment yesterday and I had dilated another centimeter so I'm now at 2 and I am 60% effaced . His heartbeat was strong and he's measuring on time! I couldn't get the dr. To tell me if she thought I'd be early or not! I feel like its a gamble anyway... He will come when he's ready!  Hey, Christian, WE are ready !!! Haha 

We are all ready to go! The hospital bag is packed and the carseat is installed as of today! I've been getting out of the house this week and going to school to work in my classroom. I have gotten lesson plans done for my sub and it has let off a lot of the stress I had been having thinking about planning and not teaching for 8 weeks . 

I've been feeling great the past couple days! I've felt a little less "heavy" and have had so much energy! My mom and I went on a walk today and I usually have to slow down and feel crampy, but today I felt good! I could have walked for miles it felt! I'm hoping to walk everyday up until I go into labor to help get this little guy out! 

Josh and I are so anxious and ready to be parents. I am constantly imagining what he will look like. I can't wait to just stare at him and pick out all his little characteristics and figuring out which he got from Josh or me. 

I will keep you all updated and josh is in charge of filling everyone in via social media when it's gametime!

37 weeks

I'm 37 weeks today! I had an appointment today and .... I am 1cm dilated! Woop whoop for some progress! My doctor told me to keep walking and I will see her again next week ! I was hoping he'd be a firecracker baby, but I guess he wasn't feelin it. I hope everyone has a happy 4th!!

Baby Update

Just some updates on me and Baby Christian ! 

My girlfriends and I have been anticipating the week of the watermelon! Haha we always talk about what fruit our baby's are the size of and when we mentioned a watermelon I remember thinking how huge that's going to be !! Well... I'm there folks!

We went in for our 36 week appointment this past Friday . Josh and I were betting on whether or not I was dilated. He guessed 2 cm and I said 1cm. Well... We both lost because I have not yet dilated ! Which I hear is fine and normal at this point. Some women don't dilate until they are ready to go into labor, others can be not dilated at all then the next day dilated a couple centimeters. All I know is that I was a little bummed I hadn't dilated ! I was hoping to hear about some progress !  Hopefully we will know more come Wednesday at our 37 week appointment so not much to update you all on . 

Here's my 36 week photo ( not really a belly shot) . We celebrated the wedding of our good friends / cousins Shelly and Keith Cherry! It was such a beautiful wedding and fun reception ...but I must say it's totally different attending as a 9 month pregnant woman ...;) it was nice to have some fellow preggos (my best friend Danielle and sister-n-law Halee) there with me to sit and chat with. Halee and I noticed how we were posted up at the table most of the night discussing which flavor of wedding cake was the best ! Haha 

That's all I got today, I'll have updates after our appointment Wednesday! This week is going to be a busy one ! My birthday is Tuesday (the big 2-7!) , Dr. Appt. Wednesday, 4th of July Thursday, and a fourth party to attend on Saturday ! I love having things to look forward to! Hoping it makes this week fly by and one week closer to meeting our man!
